Sounds so nice, doesn’t it?
As a homeschool parent, depending on the day or the hour you read that statement, you may smile with warm feelings … or you may laugh rather hysterically … or you may unconsciously sigh with a heavy heart. Our gifts don’t always feel like gifts while we’re in the nitty-gritty of homeschooling and parenting.
We recognize God’s view, that children are indeed a gift from Him. Then we can also know that our investment of days and months and years spent on potty-training and field trips and how-to-read lessons and math quizzes and history books and grading charts – it is of great value, as we seek to care for these gifts He has entrusted to us.
