Why History?
First, before the post: my introduction!
If you haven’t noticed, we are living in interesting times. This Summit is prompting me to write a few articles on history and why you should study it. The old adage, “Those who don’t know history are condemned to repeat it” feels more applicable these days than ever.
Once, at a park day, we moms were discussing curriculum (big surprise!) and I had a fellow homeschool mom guffaw when I said I was teaching history to my kids. She asked, “Why would they ever need that?”
Well, you need it! Even more so now. If you think that we may be living through the downfall of an empire, it’s time to step back and remember how God works throughout history. And this summit is going to explore that idea.

Who is Homeschool Summits?
Homeschool Summits is a project of CHEC and Generations to bring Christian families the resources and encouragement they need to homeschool with confidence and pass on the faith to their children. Both organizations are non-profit, funded by donations, and they exist to help parents raise their children to love and serve God. Together, they are working to bring Homeschool Summits to your home.
